Avenue House

Avenue House is an imposing Grade II listed mid Victorian mansion situated at 17 East End Road, Finchley, London N3 3QE


 

The extensive grounds (landscape by Robert Marnock) contain a unique collection of trees forming an attractive backdrop to the house. The grounds of this historic house are open to the public every day until sunset.


Access by Road, Train, Bus. and Tube

 

Avenue House is coveniently situated close to the M1, A1 and North Circular Road (A406) and within easy reach of several bus routes and Finchley Central Underground Station.


By Road

 

Leave at the junction with the A598 Regents Park Road (Henley's Corner) towards Finchley. At the first set of traffic lights (by the Queen's Head Public House) turn right into East End Road (A504). The car park entrance is on the left.


 

From Finchley Church End follow Regents Park Road (A598) towards North Circular (A406). Turn left at Queen's Head Public House into East End Road (A504). Avenue House is on the left.


By Public Transport

 

UNDERGROUND - the nearest station is Finchley Central on the High Barnet branch of the Northern Line. On leaving the station walk up to Regents Park Road, turn left at the Queen's Head Public House. Turn left into East End Road. Avenue House is on the left hand side.


 

BUSES - 82, 125, 148, 260 and 326 stop a short distance from the house.

By Car

 

From the North: Leave M1 at junction 8 and follow A414 into Hemel Hempstead. From the South: Leave M25 at junction 20 and follow A41 into Hemel Hempstead. There is plenty of free parking at Felden Lodge.


By Taxi

 

There is a taxi rank in Hemel Hempstead in the Marlowes near the market and at the train station. The journey to Felden Lodge costs about £4.


By Rail

 

Take the train to Hemel Hempstead Station. Journey time from London Euston is 30 minutes. For train times contact National Rail Tel. 0845 484 950. From the station it is a 15/20 minute walk or take a taxi.


By Underground

 

The nearest London Transport Underground Station is Chesham. This is the last stop on the west bound Metropolitan line. Journey time from central London is about 90 minutes.


By Bus
